Please do not submit poetry manuscripts until 2008

Thinking of submitting?

If you are thinking of submitting work to us, please bear in mind the following.

We are a very small press, (two part time workers, and a number of freelancers and volunteers) and we receive funding to produce books within a well defined remit: books about our local area, and literature (mainly poetry). Only rarely do we deviate from these areas.
If you are going to submit work, it helps to have some familiarity with what we have published up to now - in other words to have read some of it! This isn't just about getting you to buy our books, though if you do we'll be delighted. It's about asking yourself where you see your work fitting into our programme.

Submissions go to a small editorial group that has its own interests and tastes, which are reflected in the books we have published.

If you think your writing has the quality that we are looking for, then send us a sample - unfortunately it may take us a while to get around to replying, but we'll do our best.

If your submission is poetry please send no more than 6 poems

Any artwork included as part of a submission should be in black & white. We strongly advise sending photocopies and will not be responsible for any damage to original artwork.

If you would like your manuscript returned please enclose an SAE
